Did you prank anyone yesterday? I know I did! I got away with TWO! Yes, I said two. Count 'em, 1, 2!!
First one was at work. Long story, so I'll spare you the details.
My second one was on my poor husband. Crackers, our crazy pittie below, has a history of destorying stuff. We have one room in our house in which EVERY wall has at least one hole. I will have to take pics one day. Talking about it just doesn't do it justice. He is also a dog-ini (Hudini. He has figured out how to escpae out of this crate. We now have to put those little rock-climbing hocks to keep his bottay in there. Anyway... My coworker, Maria, suggested a play a prank on David.... my wheels got turning and *click.* Thats it! I'll tell him Crackers had another one of his "hissy fits."
So, when I get home, I call hubby on the house phone. I said in a concerned voice, "Hey... Did you forget to lock his crate this morning?" His reponse, "No, I'm pretty sure I did. Why, did he get out?" In my most disappointed voice, I told him, "Yes, he did. You know how he ripped up the carpet the other day? Well, he did it again, worse. He also made more holes in the walls and he even managed to tear up a door." Then my sweetheart of a husband says, "You know he's gone, right?" Then I exclaim "APRIL FOOLS!!"... *click* "Hello?" I ask. Nothing. He hung up on me! I tried to call him back to reassure him I was joking, but he turned his phone off. Great. Now I have to wait until he gets home from the gym to talk. : /
A couple hours later, I hear his truck pull up. I got to open the door for him, as I always do, and I see his disappointed face. I open the door. He said, "So, where are the holes?" At this point I realized that he didn't think I was joking. He really thought I was serious. He though I just said "April Fools" so he wouldn't be upset anymore. Luckily, I was joking, this time at least.
Happy April Fools everyone!

Oh no! The kite ran out of string and took off! No hope for it now.
Maybe...
Nope. Long gone. We saw it hovering in the same spot for a few mintues. It must have gotten hung up on something, but then it flew off.

Woah! Its been over a month?
I've been extremly busy at work and extremely lazy at home. Not a good combination. I've had pics of our pups to shar for a couple weeks now, but I haven't had time to upload them. I grabbed some more of our neice while we were having our Easter Day at my in-laws. I am hoping to post those tomorrow or at least by Friday.
We had a great long weekend. The hubster had off for Good Friday, so I decided I would join him and take the day off too. We went to the mall to get some summer shopping done, but we ended up walking away empty handed. Saturday, we went to another mall (Memorial City) on the way to my parent's house. This trip was a little more sucessful. I walked away with a new cute swimsuit and hubby got a pants, shoes and a shirt. We spent the rest of the day spending time with my family. It was great because I don't think we've seen them since Christmas! :O
Sunday, we spent the day with my in-laws to celebrate Easter. Our 2 y/o neice was so excited about searching for the eggs in the yard. She did pretty good for 2! I was a bad aunt and I eat up some of her candy. Pics of this day to come.
Happy Monday!

Great firends, priceless memories.
I accidentally left my camera in the back of my friend's car. Hopefully I can get some from the other ladies to post on here.
We had a GREAT time. We stopped in Santa Fe to go to the first winery. It was very cute and quaint... out in the middle of nowhere really. We had the best lunch! They served us the BEST chicken salad with rosemary bread and a fruit and cheese platters. When I heard we were paying $11 for chicken salad, I was a little disappointed. I was amazed how good it actually was! It was grilled chicken breasts cubed, with dried cherries and other stuff - AMAZING! We ate below ground in their cellar. It was so romantic!
We then went to the next winery right on the Strand in Galveston. This one was more our "flavor." It was on a lot smaller scale, but it was very neat. The one wine I liked of all the ones we tried - the "Wine-a-rita!" hah! It was GREAT!! It was made with wine instead of tequila. $13.99 for the mix, plus $13.99 for the wine... I passed on taking it home. But it was good to say I found a "wine" I liked. :) We spent the rest of the night around the Strand.
Great friends, yummy drinks, delicious food, priceless memories.

Time for a good ole fashioned sleepover!
This weekend, a few of the girls in our group will be heading to a couple wineries for toures and some tasting. After our long day, we'll be spending the night in Galveston for some much needed girl time.
Hope to bring you back some good pics. The weather's not looking so great, so cross your fingers for us and do a little chant:
Rain, rain, go away! Come again some other day!

The sky's the limit
I took these over the weekend. I love the sky this time of year. I have never noticed how beautiful it is until just a few months ago. Now, I catch myself staring at it.
These were taken in my front and back yard.
